The master's stipend is based on German BAföG rates (up to approx. EUR 934), while PhD candidates receive a grant of roughly EUR 1,350-1,400 per month plus an additional EUR 100 research-cost allowance; health insurance is also covered.
There is no fixed nationality restriction for foreign applicants — citizens of any country, including Uzbekistan, may apply at master's level (master's only) or doctoral level. Candidates must show strong socio-political engagement and academic achievement, reside temporarily in Germany, plan to return to their home country after their studies, and have German language skills at B2 level (medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine are not funded).

Applications for grants starting in the summer semester (1 April) are submitted annually by 1 October.
U.S. Department of State
Full scholarship: tuition, monthly living stipend, international and domestic airfare, and J-1 Exchange Visitor health insurance. The program enables recipients to earn a Master's degree in the U.S. or conduct research under the Open Study/Research Award.
Turkish Government (YTB)
Full funding: tuition, accommodation, a monthly stipend (approximately TRY 4,500 for Bachelor's, TRY 6,500 for Master's, TRY 9,000 for PhD students), health insurance, a one-year Turkish-language course, and round-trip airfare.
Japanese Government (MEXT)
Full scholarship: a monthly stipend of ¥143,000–145,000 (varies by degree level and field), with tuition and international airfare covered by the Government of Japan. The program typically begins with research-student (kenkyusei) status before transferring into a master's or doctoral program.
UK Government (FCDO)
Full scholarship: university tuition fees, a monthly living allowance (rate varies by city), return flights to and from the UK, visa costs, and additional grants (e.g. for research). Available only for one-year master's programmes.
