What is the OAK list?
OAK is the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It maintains the official register of academic journals whose publications count towards a dissertation defence.
Approval is field-scoped. A journal approved for pedagogical sciences does not count for a physics and mathematics dissertation — which is why every result here shows the approved fields.
The journal must be on the list at the time the article is published. A later removal from the list does not invalidate your earlier publication.
About predatory journals
A predatory journal is a publication that looks academic but performs no genuine peer review. Such journals typically promise publication in a very short time, do not disclose their editorial board, and claim indexes they are not in.
Tadqiq.uz does not rate any journal as predatory. We answer exactly one question: is the journal on the OAK list or not. A journal being absent from the list does not mean it is predatory.

How do I find out whether a journal is on the OAK list?
Enter the journal name or its ISSN in the field above. The answer comes from the official OAK register data: whether the journal is on the list, which academic fields it counts for, and — if it was removed — exactly when.
If a journal was removed from the OAK list, does my article still count?
The journal must be on the OAK list at the time the article is published. Articles published while the journal was on the list therefore still count, even if the journal was removed later. Articles published after the removal do not count.
Why was my journal not found?
There are a few possible reasons: the journal is not on the OAK list; its name may be spelled differently — try the ISSN instead; or an OAK decision may be recent enough that our data does not reflect it yet. A journal being absent from the list is not a negative assessment of that journal.
Does Tadqiq.uz check journals for being predatory?
No. We do not rate any journal as predatory or judge its quality, and we publish no such rating. This page answers exactly one question: is the journal on the OAK list, for which fields, and if it was removed, when.
