Faculty and other staff at Uzbekistan universities whose institution holds an ICM (KA171) agreement with a European partner higher education institution — for teaching (STA) or staff training (STT). Uzbekistan has a National Erasmus+ Office (erasmus.uz) that coordinates selection through inter-institutional agreements and competitions.

For institutional-level projects, the European Commission runs an annual KA171-HED call (the 2026 round closed on 19 February 2026). Deadlines for individual staff depend on each university's agreement with its European partner institution — there is no single centralised date; calls are usually announced several times during the academic year.
Royal Society (UK)
Under the Global round: up to £3,000 for a single visit (up to 3 months), up to £6,000 for multiple visits within one year, and up to £12,000 in total over two years. Under the Cost-Share round, the Royal Society provides up to £12,000, matched by an equal contribution from an overseas partner organisation (e.g. Italy's CNR, Japan's JSPS, China's NSFC, or Taiwan's NSTC).
German Academic Exchange Service
Doctoral candidates and early-career postdocs receive a stipend of approximately €1,200–1,400 per month, along with health/accident insurance and a travel grant; the exact rate is updated annually.
European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN)
A daily allowance of approximately CHF 93-94 (tax-free) for accommodation and meals, plus coverage of travel costs to and from Geneva and full health insurance.
