Gates Cambridge Trust (Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation)
Full scholarship: tuition, maintenance allowance (£21,000/year), economy airfare, visa costs, health insurance. Up to 4 years for PhD.
Citizens of any country outside the UK, including Uzbekistan. Must be admitted (or in the process of being admitted) to a full-time PhD, MLitt, or selected one-year postgraduate programme at the University of Cambridge. Outstanding academic achievement is required (average GPA of scholars: 3.92) along with leadership potential; MBA and part-time programmes are not eligible. Around 80 scholarships are awarded worldwide each year, roughly two-thirds of which go to PhD candidates.
1. Register on Cambridge Graduate Application Portal. 2. Apply for admission to a postgraduate course. 3. Complete the Gates Cambridge section. 4. Upload academic references and transcripts. 5. Await selection results.

Applications for 2026/27 have already closed. For 2027/28 entry, applications open in September 2026: the deadline is October 2026 for US citizens, and December 2026 or early January 2027 (depending on course) for all other countries, including Uzbekistan.
U.S. Department of State
Full scholarship: tuition, monthly living stipend, international and domestic airfare, and J-1 Exchange Visitor health insurance. The program enables recipients to earn a Master's degree in the U.S. or conduct research under the Open Study/Research Award.
Turkish Government (YTB)
Full funding: tuition, accommodation, a monthly stipend (approximately TRY 4,500 for Bachelor's, TRY 6,500 for Master's, TRY 9,000 for PhD students), health insurance, a one-year Turkish-language course, and round-trip airfare.
UK Government (FCDO)
Full scholarship: university tuition fees, a monthly living allowance (rate varies by city), return flights to and from the UK, visa costs, and additional grants (e.g. for research). Available only for one-year master's programmes.
