Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI)
Total grant of EUR 10,800, disbursed in three instalments over a 9-month period, plus a tuition fee exemption and health/accident insurance coverage. Accommodation costs are not separately covered (regional tax and stamp duty remain the scholar's responsibility).
Open to citizens of over 120 countries, including Uzbekistan. Available for Master's, PhD, supervised research projects, and higher arts/music education courses; B2-level Italian or English is required.
Applicants first register for their chosen programme on the Universitaly portal, then submit an online MAECI scholarship application via the Study in Italy portal (studyinitaly.esteri.it); once awarded, they apply for a student visa at the Italian Embassy in Tashkent.

Online applications are accepted annually through the Study in Italy portal until approximately the end of March (for the 2026-2027 academic year, the deadline was 26 March 2026, 2:00 PM CET).
U.S. Department of State
Full scholarship: tuition, monthly living stipend, international and domestic airfare, and J-1 Exchange Visitor health insurance. The program enables recipients to earn a Master's degree in the U.S. or conduct research under the Open Study/Research Award.
Turkish Government (YTB)
Full funding: tuition, accommodation, a monthly stipend (approximately TRY 4,500 for Bachelor's, TRY 6,500 for Master's, TRY 9,000 for PhD students), health insurance, a one-year Turkish-language course, and round-trip airfare.
UK Government (FCDO)
Full scholarship: university tuition fees, a monthly living allowance (rate varies by city), return flights to and from the UK, visa costs, and additional grants (e.g. for research). Available only for one-year master's programmes.
