Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)
Full scholarship covering tuition, a monthly living allowance, round-trip airfare, medical insurance, and a settlement allowance in Korea. Exact amounts are published annually in KOICA's program guideline.
The program is specifically directed at citizens of Uzbekistan — KOICA maintains a dedicated country office in Tashkent (uzkap.uz). Candidates must be employees of government agencies, public institutions, or research institutes and receive an official nomination from their government body; the age limit is typically 40, a Bachelor's degree is required, and English or Korean proficiency is needed. Graduates commit to returning to Uzbekistan to continue public-sector work.
Uzbekistan citizens only
Candidates must first obtain an official nomination from their government agency or institution, then submit the KOICA application form, employment verification letter, passport copy, CV, recommendation letters, and university-specific documents to the KOICA Uzbekistan office or the Korean Embassy in Tashkent.
Periodic
Announced in several rounds each year (for example, the 2026-1 round's application deadline was December 11, 2025). Exact dates should be tracked via KOICA's Uzbekistan office (uzkap.uz) and the Korean Embassy in Tashkent.
