Full funding: tuition fees are covered in full, accommodation costs are covered or subsidised, a monthly state stipend is paid (the amount varies by degree level), and health insurance is provided.
Uzbekistan is a bilateral partner country of Hungary — the Hungarian government allocates up to 170 scholarship places annually for Uzbekistan citizens. Applications are open for Bachelor's, one-tier Master's, Master's, PhD (doctoral) programmes, and short-term courses. Priority is given to engineering and technical fields, medicine, pharmacy, biotechnology, chemistry, geology, physics, information technology, artificial intelligence, and (alternative) energy.
Uzbekistan citizens only
Register and apply via the apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu portal, upload the required documents, and select your chosen university/universities. Candidates from Uzbekistan are also typically required to go through a national selection (nomination) stage via the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations.

The application period for the 2026/2027 academic year closed on 15 January 2026 at 14:00 Central European Time — this deadline has already passed (as of today, 12 July 2026). The next cycle for the 2027/2028 academic year is expected to open in November 2026, with the deadline traditionally falling in mid-January.
U.S. Department of State
Full scholarship: tuition, monthly living stipend, international and domestic airfare, and J-1 Exchange Visitor health insurance. The program enables recipients to earn a Master's degree in the U.S. or conduct research under the Open Study/Research Award.
Turkish Government (YTB)
Full funding: tuition, accommodation, a monthly stipend (approximately TRY 4,500 for Bachelor's, TRY 6,500 for Master's, TRY 9,000 for PhD students), health insurance, a one-year Turkish-language course, and round-trip airfare.
UK Government (FCDO)
Full scholarship: university tuition fees, a monthly living allowance (rate varies by city), return flights to and from the UK, visa costs, and additional grants (e.g. for research). Available only for one-year master's programmes.
