Correlation analysis

Measures the strength of association between two quantitative variables.

Options

  • Correlation typePearson’s r · Spearman’s ρ · Kendall’s τb

What it reports

Pearson, Spearman or Kendall's τ_b; a confidence interval always, significant or not.

When does this apply?

For measuring the strength and direction of the association between exactly two quantitative variables. The coefficient — Pearson r, Spearman ρ or Kendall τb — is chosen in the options; the coefficient IS the effect size, so it is reported with a confidence interval, alongside a scatter plot. For more than two variables, the Correlation matrix applies.
