When does this apply?

The same design as the one-way ANOVA — three or more independent groups, the outcome in one column and the group name in a categorical column — but the comparison is by ranks, so the outcome may also be ordinal. The output is H, the degrees of freedom, p, and ε² with a 95% confidence interval; pairwise differences appear in Dunn’s post-hoc comparisons under the selected multiplicity adjustment.
