About the OAK journal list

The list of academic journals approved by Uzbekistan's OAK (the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan) featured on Tadqiq.uz is split into two independent sections — domestic (Uzbekistan-published) and international (CIS and other foreign publishers). This page explains how the list is compiled, which sources it relies on, and the methodology behind it.

Data Sources

The list is based on the following official sources:

Methodology

OAK approval is granted at the discipline (field) level — for example, "Physical and Mathematical Sciences" or "Economic Sciences". The specific specialties shown on a journal's page are derived from the official list of OAK specialties within that field — this is not a list approved by the journal itself, but a logical consequence of the field-level approval.

A decision number and date are shown only when that information is present in the source. For a number of journals this data has not yet been separately published by OAK, or the journal belongs to the base 2019 list without an individual decision date.

The list is based on official OAK data and is periodically reviewed. If a journal is removed from the OAK list, this is shown explicitly on its page — the entry is never silently deleted.
