When does this apply?

For describing any number of continuous or ordinal variables at once. No hypothesis is tested — the output is n, the mean, standard deviation, median, IQR and, if enabled, distribution-shape statistics. Each variable is computed on its own observations, so a blank in another column does not shorten this column’s n. Nominal variables belong in Frequency distribution.
