How do you convert a PDF to Word?
The tool reads the text layer inside the PDF and writes it into a .docx file as paragraphs. The result opens in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice and the text can be edited freely. This is a text transfer: tables, columns, images and page layout are not reconstructed.
What this tool does not do
- It does not rebuild tables, columns, images or footnotes — only paragraphs of text are carried across.
- It does not preserve fonts, sizes or page layout.
- It cannot read a scanned document: there is no text layer in one, and no OCR is performed here.
Example: lifting a quotation out of a paper
An 18-page journal article was given to the tool. It found text on all 18 pages and wrote them into a .docx, each page as its own paragraphs with a page break between them. The two tables in the article came out not as tables but as ragged lines — for those, the original PDF is still the source. The prose transferred completely and unchanged.
When writing a literature review
Writing a literature review means lifting passages out of dozens of papers and placing them into your own manuscript. Copying straight out of a PDF usually drags the line breaks along with the text, and the passage falls apart on the page. Here the paragraphs are reassembled, so what you paste reads as continuous prose immediately. Page boundaries are kept as page breaks so you can still tell which page a quotation came from. Read the result through before pasting it into a manuscript: in a two-column article the lines are tied to their position on the page, so sentences can come out interleaved. Formulas are carried across as plain text and have to be retyped in Word's equation editor.

Frequently asked questions
Why do tables not come across?
A table in a PDF is not an object — it is fragments of text placed at particular positions. Rebuilding one takes a separate layout-analysis system, and this tool has none.
Will it work on a scanned document?
No. A scanned page is an image and carries no text layer. The tool detects this and returns no result rather than an empty file.
Do Uzbek characters survive?
Yes. The text is carried across exactly as it appears in the document, with no substitutions at all — including the oʻ and gʻ characters.
Is the file sent to a server?
No. The whole conversion runs in your browser and the document never leaves your device.
