When does this apply?

For a design in which three or more independent groups are compared on one continuous outcome: the outcome in one column, the group name in a categorical column. The output is F, the degrees of freedom, p, and η²ₚ with a 90% confidence interval; pairwise differences between groups appear in the selected post-hoc procedure. Dunnett’s procedure requires a control group, chosen from the factor column’s own levels. The rank-based alternative is the Kruskal–Wallis test.
