When does this apply?

For a design in which one group is measured three or more times (two occasions are accepted too). Each occasion sits in its own column, one row per observation. A row missing any occasion is dropped entirely — an incomplete row cannot be kept in this design. The output is the F and p of the selected sphericity correction, the sphericity test, and all three correction readings. The rank-based alternative is the Friedman test.
